I didn't post up any info last week incase the deal fell through. So now that the car's mine, here she is!

Previous owner in burnout comp
The story behind the car is that the previous owner did it up as a burnout car. It ran an injected 304 with a Yella Terra top mount blower. He spent a fair bit of money setting it up properly for burnouts - rebuilt diff and box, burnout exhaust, big fuel system and so on. Anyway he damaged his engine and took it to get rebuilt and the builder ran off with his motor and his money (and I suspect some other parts off the car). So after getting done over hard the bloke gave up and stuck the rolling shell on ebay. When I saw this car on ebay I knew it was perfect for me because it fitted in with the parts that I have ready for the project (the wagon setup).
This car has everything that the wagon doesn't and everything thats missing, I have!
Here's the specs of the car;
- VK Sedan resprayed in 2pak oranage
- Set up for injected 5L - ready to bolt motor in and plug in
- Rebuilt diff with 4.5 gears and a mini spool (looks to be a salsbury, not sure on the axels etc)
- Rebuilt gearbox TH700 with Stage 1 shift kit + 2500rpm stally
- Surge tank in boot with big Bosch pump and 3/8" lines
- Pacemaker extractors with a twin 2.5" exhaust dumping to the back tyres
- Bonnet mount guages
- Battery relocated to boot
- VL calais interior
- Momo steering wheel
I'm going to transfer this stuff from the wagon into this shell;
- Engine 304i
- VT front brake conversion
- Radiator and thermos
- Tranny cooler
- B&M Pro Rachet shifter
- Battery
I'm going to rob my tacho out of my torry and the 17" clubby wheels from my VR.
The plan for this car is to do a seriously quick budget build and have a car that's cool enough to enter in car events and the muscle car cruises, but at the same time have a genuine street car that I can drive past the cops and not get screwed by them. I'm trying to go for the oposite to my torry.
The goal is to get this thing to the WSID Burnout Comp on the 6th of June. That's just under 2 weeks away!!
That's a fair bit of work to get done, but I'm confident that we'll make it to the comp. It won't be road worthy or registered by then, but once the comp has been and gone I'll be working to get the car ready for rego.

Back at home, ready for heart transplant!
